Seniors Farmers Market, July 31

A senior farmers market event will take place 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Friday, July 31 at the Pierce County Senior Center located at  713 Hendry Street in Blackshear.

The event is open to the public. Applicants 55-59 years old qualify if they live in senior housing. All other applicants must be 60 or older and all applicants must meet certain income guidelines.

Qualifying seniors will receive $30 worth of produce. Walk ins will be welcome as long as the bags last.

Memorial Satilla schedules three blood drives

Memorial Satilla Health will partner with The Blood Connection to host three more blood drives in 2026. Blood drives are held on Fridays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the old registration lobby on the main campus, 1900 Tebeau Street, Waycross. Upcoming drives are set for July 31, October 2 and December 4. Brazilian Soccer Camp

Pierce County Rec Department invites parents to sign up kids ages 4 - 14 for Brazilian Soccer Camp at to learn the Brazilian way of soccer.

The event runs July 20 - 24 and will focus on skills development, flair, joy of the game and increased confidence. Registration will end soon.

Participants will grow and shine under the guidance of professional Brazilian coaches.

Courses are full day and half day depending on age. All skill levels are welcome. Spots are limited. Soccer camp will be held at Tiger Field, 705 College Avenue in Blackshear.
