DEATH INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY AFTER BODY DISCOVERED IN POND NEAR OFFERMAN

A death investigation is now underway in connection to a body discovered Tuesday morning in a pond in the area of Doris and Sinclair Roads just west of Offerman. 
Sheriff Ramsey Bennett confirmed the investigation is underway and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab has been called in to assist. 
The investigation is in its very preliminary stages. The sheriff declined to give any additional information about the case citing the ongoing investigation.
