A reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Tristin Aspinwall has been established.
“Tips can be completely anonymous,” said Sandy Head, Aspinwall’s aunt. “We are hopeful this will encourage someone to come forward, especially if they are afraid of the coward who did this.”
Aspinwall, 23, of Blackshear, was found unresponsive near a side-by-side ATV in what was initially believed to be a vehicle accident.
Aspinwall was discovered on a farm access/timber lane in the vicinity of Cleve and Meadow Wood Roads west of Blackshear about 7:15 a.m. Sunday, May 18.
Initial investigation led law enforcement officers to label the death as suspicious. Aspinwall had sustained injuries that were not consistent with a vehicle accident. Later, the death was confirmed to be homicide by a state filed record The Times was granted permission to view.
Bennett and his investigators have declined to provide any additional details of the investigation.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit at (912) 807-2677 or the tip line at (912) 807-TIPS (8477).
