One person was killed after a car and a Pierce County School Bus collided at the intersection of Ware Street and Meadow Wood Road Monday afternoon.
The fatality was a person in the car, according to law enforcement sources. The name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
School Superintendent Dara Bennett confirmed that a school bus was involved, and she stated that no one on board the bus was injured. Law enforcement sources told The Times the bus only had two students on board at the time of the accident.
The accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
