The Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame announces the inaugural Mother-Son Blue and Silver Ball, Saturday, May 10 at the Blackshear Depot.
“We anticipate this will be a memorable event for all the boy moms and their sons as they kick up their heels on Mother’s Day Eve,” said a spokesman for the Hall of Fame Board.
It's not expected that every attendee will wear a ball gown or a tux, so we settled on the common dress theme of blue and silver, as these are the colors of Pierce County Schools. Ball-goers do not have to reside in Pierce County, but the board requests that they adhere to the blue and silver theme.
Moms and sons can cut a rug from 6-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, along with photo opportunities. Tickets are $20, which covers admission for mom and her son(s).
Tickets are on sale now at The Blackshear Times and through Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame members: John DuPont, Maureen Brown, Diann Strickland, Rick Head, Mabry James, June Bennett and Daniel Washington.
