The American Red Cross has scheduled a blood drive 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Offerman Baptist Church, 7225 U.S. Highway 84, Offerman.
The Red Cross is facing a drop in donor turnout this fall – a time when making and keeping appointments is critical to providing lifesaving blood products for patients over the holidays. More donors are needed to help maintain a strong blood supply. To help empower and educate our blood donors, in November, successful donors will receive free A1C testing, a common screening tool used to detect prediabetes and diabetes. (One test result in 12 months; do not fast before donating). Please visit RedCrossBlood.org/diabetes for more information.
